Is CodeHS endorsed by the College Board for AP Computer Science?

Yes. CodeHS is a College Board–endorsed provider for both AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A. The endorsement affirms that CodeHS’s curriculum and professional development are aligned to the full AP Curriculum Framework and AP assessment, and it gives schools a syllabus pre-approved for the AP Course Audit.

Does the CodeHS AP curriculum align to the AP Curriculum Framework?

Yes. Every learning objective and essential knowledge statement in the AP Curriculum Framework is mapped to CodeHS lessons, and because CodeHS is a College Board–endorsed provider, that alignment is recognized by the College Board. Standards-mapping documents are available for both AP CSP and AP CSA.

Which AP CSP pathways does CodeHS offer?

CodeHS offers multiple College Board–endorsed AP CSP pathways so you can teach the course in the language that fits your classroom: JavaScript, Python, Cybersecurity, and Roblox game development. Every pathway covers the full AP Curriculum Framework and includes a pre-approved syllabus, exam review, and Create Performance Task support.

Does CodeHS support the AP CSP Create Performance Task?

Yes. CodeHS includes lessons, resources, and practice built specifically for the AP CSP Create Performance Task, guiding students through planning, developing, and documenting their program. Combined with exam review and daily practice, this helps students complete the through-course assessment and prepare for the end-of-course exam.

What is the AP CSP pass rate for CodeHS classrooms?

On the 2025 AP CSP exam, CodeHS teachers who responded to our survey reported a 67% passing rate, with 37% of their students scoring a 4 or 5 — compared with a 62% national pass rate and 31% scoring 4 or 5. CodeHS provides daily practice, review courses, and Create Performance Task support to help students prepare.
