CodeHS offers fully customizable K-12 computer science pathways to fit the needs of every district. Pathways are designed to align with state standards and national standards covering various computer science, programming, and CTE related topics.
Alabama Elementary Digital Literacy and Computer Science
Students learn block-based coding and build their digital literacy across this elementary pathway. This pathway is designed for schools that have a designated computer science teacher who meets with students on a weekly basis.
Alabama Middle School Digital Literacy and Computer Science
Students expand their digital literacy and computer science skills through a structured middle school pathway that supports consistent, year-over-year growth. Across grades 6–8, students progress from foundational concepts to more advanced applications through scaffolded lessons and hands-on projects. This pathway is designed for schools that offer a dedicated digital literacy/computer science course or a consistent CS rotation at each grade level.
Alabama High School Digital Literacy and Computer Science
Students develop career-ready computer science skills through a comprehensive high school pathway aligned to Alabama’s DLCS standards. In grades 9–12, students apply core programming and problem-solving concepts through interactive practice and real-world projects, building confidence and mastery over time. This pathway is designed for schools offering a dedicated high school computer science course for the full 9–12 grade band.
